Zambia is ITB cultural partner for 2018!

After 30years of coming to the International Tourism Bourse, ITB, which takes place every year in the German capital of Berlin, Zambia is now the culture partner for the March 2018 prestigious tour and tourism showpiece. To seal the deal, both parties – the Zambian government and ITB Berlin have appended their signatures to the contract.


With this signing, preparatory works are now underway on our part as a country to showcase every aspect of our tourism and travel sector”, says Mrs. Theresa Kimena, the Charge’ De Faire at the Zambian Embassy in Berlin, Germany. First Secretary for Tourism Susan Katema and First Secretary for Press Kellys Kaunda are leading preparatory efforts from Berlin while the Ministry of Tourism and the Zambia Tourism Agency, ZTA are leading similar efforts from the Zambian capital of Lusaka.

Zambia is extremely attractive as a tourist destination”, Mrs. Kimena says adding, “the world needs to know this come March 2018”. Zambia is known for the Iconic Victoria Falls along with her national parks and game reserves located in different parts of the country. The country is home to a diverse wildlife, a significant portion of fresh waters in southern Africa and one of the longest rivers in the region – the Zambezi that meanders through several countries that include Angola, Zimbabwe and Mozambique finally pouring its waters into the Indian Ocean.
